Data collection
Every vendor profile is compiled from primary source material: SEC filings, press releases, vendor documentation, integration marketplaces (CDK Fortellis, Reynolds Certified Interface, Tekion Marketplace, Dealertrack DMS Interface), and dealer interviews. Vendors do not write their own copy on this site.
Categorization
Vendors are placed in one primary subcategory. When a product spans multiple categories, it appears in the one that represents its center of gravity — the workflow it replaces, not the workflows it touches.
The Stack Index
Quarterly momentum score (0–100) is a composite of category growth, vendor product-release activity, funding/M&A events, and inbound dealer intent signals from the Stack Builder tool. Movement flags reflect quarter-over-quarter change.
No pay-to-play
Placement, ranking, and inclusion are never for sale. Vendors can submit factual corrections; editorial keeps the final word.
Update cadence
Vendor facts are refreshed continuously; subcategory buyer guides quarterly; the Stack Index quarterly.
